Does anyone know of any local styrofoam recycling places? Or, failing that, how to re-use or recycle styrofoam? Apart from mixing with acetone to make glue or napalm?

i don’t know if this helps - http://www.facilities.unsw.edu.au/Recycling/polystyrene.htm
You can make napalm with it?
Wow.
cant you use it for insulation in your walls, keeps heat in, noise out. You could have a screaming room
Jenny - Thanks for that - worth checking out. Would it be wrong to drive there to drop off styrofoam???
James - Apparently.
Howie - Maybe I could make one in the spare room when flatmate moves out. It would match the kitchen ticket booth and neon signage.
Maybe I could just mail it to the company of origin so they could reuse the packaging. That could be quite funny, and maybe get them thinking.
I could include a note: “Thank you for packing your energy efficient heater with such care. The heater arrived in perfect condition with no dings or scratches. I chose your product because I wanted to make an environmentally responsible purchase, so it was disappointing to find that this choice was countered by the foam packaging. I am returning the packaging to you so that it can be used again, rather than ending up in landfill where it won’t breakdown for at least 500 years.” Or is that too narky?
No Way!
Nark on, Sister!
